Sometimes People Amaze Me

This is a conversation my DH & I had with someone online last night while playing an online game. Please note, this person referred to his friend by only the first name *D* — never a last name…. *sigh* some people just have no clue.
Him: yeah, I was going to move up to Canada with my buddy *D* in Alberta but it didn’t work out. Do you know him?
Me: Oh yeah? I know *D* !
Him: Really? The one that runs a rock crusher?
Me: Yup… there’s only one *D* in Alberta.
Him: REALLY? you know him? cool!
DH: ….Canada is about 6.5 million miles of land, and we’re about 500miles from the Alberta Border…
Him: So you DO know him!?
Me: *sigh* … yeah, I think I met him in passing. The name is familiar…
*slaps forehead*
*snort*
I’ve been saying for years that stupid people are taking over the earth.
So, DO you know him? … I’m curious … (kidding)
