8 weeks and counting…

8 Weeks Pregnant

If you could see your baby this week, you’d see that his fingers and toes are emerging, his eyelids practically cover his eyes and his embryonic tail is just about gone. Of course, it’s still too early to tell whether you’re having a boy or a girl because the telltale parts aren’t visible yet, but go ahead and play the guessing game. Many moms-to-be say they have an inkling early on — and maybe they’re right!

Yup… my baby’s tail is disappearing. They grow up so fast *sniffle sniffle*

I figured since I’m 8 weeks now I could have a mini-celebration. This is the farthest I’ve gotten…quite a milestone I think!

Tomorrow I have my first official prenatal exam… complete with full internal exam and pap. Yay… (can’t you tell you excited I am??)

I’m now down 5lbs from the day I found out I was pregnant. My mom said that with me she lost a lot of weight too…and I ended up bigger than my brother (with him she gained A LOT, which is why she had problems conceiving me).

That’s really all that’s new with me. I’ll try an get a new Baby Belly picture posted in the next couple of days. I can’t believe how much my body LOVES to stretch even though I weigh less and I’m only 8 weeks. I’m going to be as big a friggin’ HOUSE I tell ya…

Yay! 8 weeks, that is awesome!! :)
Weight has been a funny topic for me as I started out obese but I gained 5 lbs then lost 5 lbs now I have gained 1 lb. The doctor told me not to be concerned about the lack of gaining weight as long as I am eating healthier foods.
It still amazes me that my body is growing while my weight is not…pregnancy is such a mystery! lol
